Meet Mr. C and the S Family

We just love to meet new families, its the best part of our job! We were so excited to meet Mr. C and his family.

Mr. C woke up from his nap with big bright eyes, in a great mood and ready for some fun! Look how cute and happy this little family is!

He was one happy camper, and very curious about us and all of our stuff. But Mom and Dad were experts in making Mr. C smile!

Oh my goodness...could you just get lost in those gorgeous huge eyes!

Could he possibly have the cutest hands and feet you have ever seen! How sweet!
Love this one, looking like a big boy sitting on our bench.

Awww....we almost decided to quit when I realized we hadn't used my blue bucket. I asked "do you think he will sit in the bucket" and Dad without missing a beat said "oh, of course he would love to sit in the bucket." He was right...he loved that little bucket and our friend Spot!
Thank you for spending time with us Mr. C, we had so much fun and can't wait to see you again!

Little Mr. B

Meet Mr. B...so sweet and brand new. He was having sweet little boy dreams of puppies and mud puddles most of the time we spent with him.

The W Girls

When the W girls come over to play its bound to be major girly time. We are talking dresses, shoes and accessories galore! We have major fun with these two sisters!

Ok, so this little hat...so cute, it looked like a tiny little Dr. Seuss "Whoville" hat. How ADORABLE is this photo...{swoon}

When I said these girls came with accessories, I wasn't kidding. Miss D was so cute in our little red skirt and she just "happened" to have matching flowers for her hair!

Miss A was rockin the hat this time....she looks so crazy sweet!

Miss D had just gone to see Cinderella and this was her "Cinderella" outfit that she wanted pictures in.
She brought a ton of these little toys with her and we spread them out on our backdrop and let her play with them. Very cute.

I am pretty sure that Miss A's mom just about passed out when Miss A wanted to wear this little coat.

Miss A borrowed our necklace and struck a perfect pose! But of course!

We had a SUPER fun time laughing,picking out outfits and playing with bows and headbands. Love these two!!

Mr. O turns ONE!

Our first weekend of 2012 was full of sweet little one year olds. We had the absolute pleasure of having a celebration with the adorable Mr. O!!! Mr. O was getting the star treatment by getting his photos taken without his two equally adorable brothers. It was All About Mr. O this morning!

This picture is so cute...he was SO funny with his cake, not quite sure what to do, but pretty sure that whatever it was, was going to be exciting!

We love one year old sessions because its just one big party! When Miss I came over, it was no exception. It was a pink party!

Here is Miss I chewing on a Betsy Johnson necklace...watch out Daddy, she already has expensive taste! Isn't she cute in our little ruffled romper!

Miss I was so curious and she LOVED all the balloons we had for our photo party.

How big is this cutie! I have to tell you...how adorable is her outfit. Yes, those totally are "jeggings" and yes they are TOTALLY adorable!

Our very last session of the season was with the W Family and what a great way to end. We haven't seen the W family in two years and we were surprised to see how tall and grown up Mr. E got and there was a new member of the W family Mr. L. Amazing how families grow and change!

{*swoon*} how adorable is this guy....looking so grown up!

What a cute little monkey Mr. L was....and as a matter of fact....he really enjoyed my monkey interpretation (no matter how embarassing it was to me!). Look at those adorable little teeth!

{Sneek Peek} L Family at the Falls

Last weekend was our last sessions for the year before our break and we had two great families to work with.

First up - I am sure you recognize this family, what a great way to end our 2011 season but with the L Family. We adore this family and their three little boys! Mom told me that she is convinced that her boys are starting to recognize me...probably...weird loud lady who jumps up and down and carries large machine that lights up - you don't see that every day!

We had a blast on this cool crisp morning....don't they look awesome! LOVE!!!

We love meeting new families and its even more fun when you meet new families that are old friends (what?!). Mr. K was one of my son's first real "friends" at daycare. They are like peas and carrots! That is how I met the H Famly and we just love them to pieces!

The K Family at the Falls

Here is more of K family and our evening at the Falls. It was a gorgeous summer evening. Mr. M and Miss V are the sweetest siblings. You might think that we posed them this way, but in reality....they just did things like this....they adore each other.

Of course they do things like this too {giggle}

I just love the right colors of late summer in this session. Aren't they adorable!

These kiddos were so awesome. They were really having fun with the camera (yea Mom!!).

This little girl is beyond sweet. We probably could have taken Miss V's picture all night and she would have been fine with it.

Mr. M was so handsome...LOVE the haircut! :)

Like I said...Miss V was loving our props and Mom brought the cutest hat and we had the perfect umbrella...so sweet!

Loved the gorgeous rich light we had this evening. I love that slight hazy look...looks exactly like summer should!

We always have such a great time with the K Family and look forward to seeing them again!

The L Family in the Park continued...

Here is some more of our afternoon in the park with the L Family.
There was the cutest little stump in the park....but it was kind in the bushes a bit with lots of bugs. They were not really thrilled with us, but we caught one cute one before they both hopped off and went on their way!

This is sweet baby O....he was just darling, smiley and happy. So happy to meet you Mr. O!

Here they are the L boys! Mr. E and Mr. C are very energetic boys, but it didn't take too much coaching to get them to come over and sit by their new brother (ok, maybe a fruits snack or two...you can see it in Mr. C's hand!)

Bonnie brought the most adorable tent with her and we plan on using it a lot from now on...the kids LOVED it! They went in and out of this tent and had a great time. I love the way the pictures turned out!

My favorite the mom and son pictures. This picture reminds me of the first session we did with Mr. C and Mr. E when they were just tiny babies.

So gorgeous!

As usual we had a great time with the L family and we are looking forward to seeing them again soon for their annual Fall pictures!

{Sneek Peek} Mr. B's First Birthday!

We love First Birthday's around here. One Year olds are SO much fun, they are happy and are so easy to get smiles out of!

Our favorite part...the cake photos! They are so excited to dig into that cake. Mr. B saw that cake and got SO excited!

{Sneek Peek} Mr. J and the B Family in the Park

We met Mr. J and his family in the park shortly after his First Birthday. This little guy is a mover and a shaker...not walking independently quite yet but he sure was running (when he was holding onto something!)

Mr. J's LOVES his wagon. He literally was running behind it as fast as it would roll. It was so funny to watch his little legs going so fast!

Mom and Dad brought some of his favorite things with them, like his baseball, baseball glove, and football.

Mom brought some books with that came in handy when Mr. J needed some distraction from his wagon. He loved sitting with mom and looking at the books with her. It was so sweet!

{Sneek Peek} Senior Session - Miss K

Meet Miss K! You actually have met her before {here} when Kiddiewhampus took pictures of her Prom this Spring. We got to spend more time with her this last weekend for her Senior pictures. She was the second half of our double Senior shoot!

Miss K was so much fun with all her clothes, accessories and the shoes...oh my gosh the shoes that she brought. I can hardly believe that I just took her Senior photos. I remember hearing about her first day of Kindergarten, babysitting her and buying her a cute little red dress for my wedding. Time has definately flown by and here she is a gorgeous young woman!

Kiddiewhampus at the Orchard

Last year one of our clients found this wonderful Orchard/Winery out near Waconia. It was a fabulous photos and the people who run the orchard are lovely. It was so fun in fact, I took my family out there for our family photos last year.

If you are looking for a beautiful Fall drive West of the cities and a fun little spot for the family, this would be the place and best of all you get to hang with us! We will be there on Saturday, October 8th. If you are interested, please let me know, there are limited appointments at the Orchard.

We were so excited to meet up with the L Family again this year for thier annual family photos. We had such a great time last year and this year was not different. The twins were turning two and they were ready to run and play!!!

Two years old....Wow, I can't believe it! They are such sweet little boys who love to run and play.

Wait, who is this guy that came along? Its Mr. O!. He is Mr. E and Mr. C's new adorable, sweet little brother. He was cutest little guy, who pretty much smiled the entire time!

What an awesome family, we are so happy to know you and so excited to see you every year!

{Sneek Peek} The B Family

We were so excited to meet the B family again for their annual photos. We just adore Mr. O! We met on a Sunday afternoon in the park and it was H-O-T!!!! Like melt your socks off, cook and egg on the ground HOT! WOW!

Here is Mr. O, so excited to be Two! He was a busy guy, but did unbelieveably good throughout and withstood the heat...no problem!

Looking at this family, would you guess that it was 97 degrees with a heat index bringing it up to 105 with a 67% humidity?? NO WAY! They look adorable and cool as cucumbers!

A precious and cute moment with Daddy, hanging out taking a break on the steps! They were looking at the boats on the lake.

OMG, you know how I love those Mommies and Sons - how totally adorable is this!!!

Summer Fun with the B Family

We were so lucky to spend a very "windy" Saturday morning with the B family. Seriously it was like a small hurricane right here in Champlin. The B Family are long time friends of ours and we were excited to be able to spend time with them, catch up and capture some wonderful images.

{Bonnie} I love the sweetness and comfortable feeling of this photo of my long time friends. Makes me smile. Dear Ms B with her wonderful fun, spirtual life outloook and infectious laugh and Mr. G who is a die hard cheesecake lover like me! You two are great!

Here is little Miss B...all grown up to 6 months old! You might remember her here and here from her infant shoot. What a sweet little girl!

The D Family, a Kiddiewhampus favorite. You might remember them from here and here. We always have the best time with Mr. T and Mr. A. This morning we had fun playing with "sweetpea" my little friend that liked to sit on my head and of course our famous Kiddiewhampus chicken is a fave of these two.

We had a great time photographing Mr. E and Miss T....we have known Miss T forever and its so fun to see her all grown up and loving her relationship! Mr. E....we love your little lamb! :)

Sisters...beautiful and all grown up. There is nothing better than having sisters...remember that one girls! :)

We were just testing out the camera setting here and surprise....beautiful picture!

This group did a fabulous job...everyone looked good in every picture. We asked them to be a little bit silly here....and we got a "lot-a-bit" silly out of them. I love these pictures the most...not always one for the frame in the livingroom but definately speaks about what fun being part of family is!

We had a great time with the B Family and can't wait to see them all again soon!

Miss I at 6 months

It was time for us to visit with little Miss I for her 6 month photos and...I am in love...seriously! Even if I wasn't her Auntie, I am pretty sure...it would be L-O-V-E! We absolutely love our 6 month sessions...babies of this age are just full of smiles and giggles. It makes the session so much fun. Getting to spend time with this little girl....we just went nuts. I think we might have taken pictures of her all day if we could have!

She was just the sweetest thing. She was smiling and ready to go even before she left her car seat! She was just starting to sit up and you could tell that she is very eager to get sitting up by herself and start playing with all her cool toys!

She was just a doll through the entire session.

I keep going back and forth trying to figure out who she looks like...mom or dad?

We cannot wait to show you more of this session with this little sweet pea! Stay tuned.

Prom - Miss K

We were so excited for this opportunity to be able to take pictures of this gorgeous gal before Prom. I can't tell you how much we love working with teenagers and Seniors, they have such great energy and are so much fun!! Miss K...she was in my wedding....she was just a peanut. Now she is all grown up and looking so beautiful!!

OK...seriously these two....just gorgeous!!!!!!!

We literally....could have taken pictures of them for hours, but as you can imagine...they were pretty pumped and excited to get on with their night!

We got to snap a super cute pictures of Miss K and her Mom. LOVE these two!

How cool are her nails!

I remember Miss K when she was just starting Kindergarten and here she is...brings a little tear to my eye! My first date with my husband...babysitting Miss K (who would not go to bed!). Then she wore the cutest little red dress in our wedding. We also have the most adorable pictures of my husband dancing with her at our wedding and her feet are ontop of his feet {sigh}. I feel as emotional as I am sure her mother is about her growing up!

Sweet Tiny Miss B {cont.}

We are thrilled to share more of our super fun photo session with tiny Miss B and her cute twin brothers Mr. T and Mr. A. They were so funny...not really sure they realized that their little sister was "staying" quite yet!
What is more fun than hanging out with these two adorable twins? Well, hearing what Mom and Dad come up with to make these two peanuts smile that's what! Last time we met it was saying the words "Tasty Chimichangas" (no one knows why...) and this time it was the "Name Song" a cute little song with their names in it.

After we were done with the boys, they went home with their Daddy for snacks and naps. Then we got down to business with Miss B.

We have been having so much fun with the newborn little girls lately...and are just excited and delighted to watch them grow up and we get to play with crowns and tutu's (can you tell I only have boys!!!)

FEET...love the little newborn feet! Look at those sweet little toes!

Oh my...isn't she just "beyond"....adorable. Look at those cute cheeks and lips.

She was totally zonked out and Mom brought so many cute, hats, bows and outfits with. We just kept changing things out and she was so peaceful!

AND we even pulled out the cute little pink pixie hat!! Gotta love this hat!

How totally adorable is THIS outfit! The outfit had such beautiful detail....wish they made that little sweater in my size!

Miss B and her brothers were such a wonderful delight! We just can't wait to see Miss B again and her Mommy's bag full of cute girly goodness!

Sweet Mr. J {Sneek Peek}

We are so excited when we get to meet new families! Meet Mr. J who was just about the sweetest little guy we have ever met and SO adorable with those bright blue eyes! We spent last Saturday morning with the B family and Mr. J. We had the most fun. Mr. J LOVED, LOVED, LOVED to bounce!

When we pulled up the picture below...we had to giggle...he is pointing at himself like "you talking me?"

Mom wanted a few of the three of them. These were just the nicest people and such an adorable little family!

Hi everyone, I wanted to get this video up a few days ago, actually on Valentines Day...but we had a little bit of a "blue" Valentines around here with a sick toddler (poor baby!).

We get to see lots of LOVE when we work with our clients (one of the many perks of photographing families and children) and how awesome that!!! So of course February is our favorite month!

Meet Miss B {Sneek Peek}

Look up the word sweet in the dictionary and you may see a picture of Miss B. She was adorable! We were so excited to meet her!

Miss B's mom came with a ton of fabulous hats, flowers and clothes. We nearly *squealed* with delight!

Kiddiewhampus takes pictures of lots and lots of sweet little boys. When we have a girl come along....well... we go nuts! We were so excited to bring out the "pink." I got to make another cute headband for this peanut to wear!

Here they are...those proud brothers!! Now you may remember this family and these adorable twins from this summer (see here and here). Believe it or not (and you will not believe it) Mom was around 3 months pregnant with Miss B in those pictures!

So happy to see Mr. T and Mr. A again, they did so good and we even got some smiles out of them!

Miss B was wearing THE most adorable little sweater outfit. We will show you more later!

Sweet Miss Baby I continued

We have baby fever so far this year. Two infants as our first clients of 2011. I have two infant posts for you all tonight! Gotta tell ya, infants are really fun. You honestly never know what you are going to get! There are some that sleep the whole time, there are some that are partial awake and partial asleep and then there are some that are completely asleep the whole time (we have yet to get one of those!)

You may remember Miss I from her Sneek Peek a few weeks ago. She was wide awake for the first part of her session, but she was really comfortable and let us move her around without as much as a peep.

I *heart* this picture below...it makes me giggle just a little. This little girl was O-U-T! Love it!

Love the little baby parts. We make a point to capture these for our clients...they change SO quickly!

LOVE IT! Absolutely adorable.

Looks like Miss I is laying ontop of some snow!

So sweet, you gotta love those little baby hands. She loved to hold her arms and/or her hands in the air when she was asleep.

We had so much fun with Miss I, she was beautiful and so cooperative for us I must say. What a pleasure. You will see her again soon....

Sweet Miss Baby I

Our first little client of the year and she was so sweet and just amazing. I might be a little biased because she is my niece, but seriously she was. We both fell in love instantly. She was an exceptional model. She didn't want to snooze much, but even wide awake she was letting us take herpicture and move her around without so much as a squawk. I would cross your fingers mom and day, this might be a good sign.

Here she is looking exactly like her momma! By the way, I made that cute little flower headband all by myself....one of my many talents :)

This is my favorite, favorite, favorite image from the session....so sweet and tiny. That flower gives you a good idea of how tiny she was!

Look at her....zonked out (it was for like 10 minutes). This picture actually reminds me a lot of my youngest son, they look a lot a like...its the lips and mouth I think. Might have to dig up some pictures and compare.

For the record she was just under 8 lbs according to the official Kiddiewhampus scale. Don't you love how animated she is for being so little!

There will be plenty more of Miss I in the coming year. It will be so fun to watch her grow up! I can't wait to snuggle her again. She will undoubtedly like Mr. I and Miss A consider me the "crazy camera auntie"! Hey someone's gotta do it! :)

Terrific Two!

We had a wonderful holiday break and we got to spend a lot of time with our families. But what did we do if we weren't sitting in front of the computer editing pictures? I have to be honest....a lot of sleeping! But I also got time to do some editing with some of my own photoshoots with my family and kids. Seems like I do a good job of "taking" the pictures but they rarely get a good edit and even more rare are they printed....new goal this year to print more pictures!

So I don't often post over here on the business site pictures of my family (oh there are a few I can't resist) and figured I should.

Here is a super fun little photoshoot that we did with my son around his 2nd birthday. I found this adorable t-shirt from Blah Blah to celebrate the big 2 (you can borrow it for your 2 year old session if you want!). These t-shirts are adorable and go up to I think 6 and every year a new animal is added to the pile. Adorable.

So the only way to get L's attention now days....food...I have to say this cupcake got my attention!

We did a lot of "moving" the cupcake around the set.

He "blew" me away (no pun intended) when he sat right down and started to try and blow out his candles. That cute little sloppy drooly blow!

The cupcake was certainly the star...the camera...bothersome!

Finally a bite. I didn't think he would ever get to it he was so interested in moving it around and holding it. After he took a bite, he said a little "mmmm".

Here is more attempts to get that darn candle blown out.

Below are some uber adorable pictures we got when Mr. L ventured off the set. I just love them...he is my little sweet pea, goofball, nutkin!

I have several more photoshoots with the boys and some family photos from our sessions that would be fun to share. Hopefully I can get to this years before next years!

We {heart} Babies!

How awesome are little newborn babies...they are so tiny and sweet. Who couldn't love them. We were so excited to have a brand new one come to visit!

We always try and do a mini-photo study of our infants and babies...record those little baby parts that change so fast. I love these pictures of my kids and my kids love to look at how tiny they once were. Look at Mr. K's adorable little ear!

Dad was able to go where we could not...get this baby to sleep! He was either really wanting to be awake for his first 15 minutes of fame or he was really digging us! Not sure which, but Daddy finally got him to zonk out.

When I say zonked...I mean...O-U-T! The minute we were able to move him around with him waking...we went nuts. We had been waiting for a baby to take a little snooze so we could try and get some fun pictures. Mr. K...you are a ROCK STAR!

This was an adorable little hat that a friend of Mr. K's mom made for him. How sweet we were able to get pictures of him wearing this special hat!

Yup, he is still out!

....and still sleeping....

He even slept when we had him on our scale! What?! We were in heaven.

Thank you Mr. K, you were so adorable and sweet and you get the gold star for being the first baby we were able to get to sleep for a session! Way to go buddy! It is going to be so much fun watching you grow up!

Family Fun

These boys are so much fun and all three of them are SO photogentic...just wish they love to take pictures as much as we love to "take" them! They are so fun and goofy!

The oldest and the youngest...its such a fun combination. Mr. A (the oldest) does a great job with the youngest (Mr. J). They have special relationship and Mr. J really looks up to his older brother.

Whew...we had a super busy and super fun Fall season!

One of the things that draws us to photography is capturing these wonderful families and helping to make wonderful memories.

Its time for us to spend time with our wonderful families and make our own memories!

Kiddiewhampus will not be taking any sessions during the month of December so that we can spend time with our families during the holiday season!

We will be posting our January and February schedule after the holidays.

Oh and don't leave us during our break...because on this blog we have tons of things that didn't get posted throughout the year...like take a peek into what its like to take pictures of our own families, children and grandchildren (believe me...its sometimes not a pretty sight), some pictures from the training session we did with Ria Lee Photography, Kim's brush with photography "stardom" and of course I will be working on that very popular client "outtakes" video that everyone loved so much last year!

So hey, I guess we aren't going anywhere...so you don't have to miss us!

Twins in the Park

Look whose back! One of our favorite sets of twins! These two came back to visit us for their family photo shoot and how adorable are they in their cute matching jackets! It was a very cool but beautiful morning to be in the park and these two were pretty busy, just as their other "twin" friends have been for us.
They were in great moods and actually found me (Auntie Kimmers) a bit amusing this morning.

How cute is this bench and how totally adorable are these two. I just totally love that Miss A is waving hello...perfect!

Peeking over their parents shoulder at us. I was trying to get them to smile but they were very interested in the tiny little treats in my hand! {yum!}

Mr I is really easy to get smiles out of and he is super duper ticklish.

Miss A who can be very serious, was in a great mood this morning (despite the cold) and she was all full of smiles for us!
We had a great morning with these two and their Mommy and Daddy. We got some fun images and had a great time!

We can't wait to see how much you have grown by next year!

Shhhh...Sleeping Baby

We were very excited abou this newborn shoot. We love it when we get to photograph them when they are brand new! Mr. K here is only 5 days old! He just happens to be my 2nd cousin...yes looks do run in our family! :)

I guess you could say we had the magic touch this weekend but we have to give credit where credit is due. Daddy actually had the magic touch!

This was the marathon of newborn shoots! Mr. K was quite bound and determined to be WIDE awake for us pretty much the entire time. I am beginning to think that we are just "that" exciting that they don't want to miss a minute! We got some beautiful shots of a bright eyed and bushy tailed baby but we (and mommy) wanted some sleeping shots....not really going so well.

Daddy finally stepped in and got him snoozing pretty well and then **{taaaa daaa}** we were able to work with him! He was completely zonked! I am not lying that this session could have gone on for another hour of us just playing but we were losing light by the second.

So excited to show you some more images from this session....beautiful baby and some really fun pictures of this brand new little guy! Stay tuned!

Enjoying Fall

We were so excited to meet another favorite Kiddiewhampus family this Fall. The H Family was back for their annual Fall session. You will remember them from last year and we also saw them as they welcomed little Mr. B earlier this year!

We always get such a great response from the H children. Ms. J is as stunning as they come. We usually end up with plenty of great photos of her and Mr. J he is so adorably sweet and Bonnie can really get some great pictures of him. As a side note, Bonnie and Mr. J have a sweet little bond. He jumped out of the car, went right up to Bonnie and said "Hi, my name is J...are you ready to take pictures of me?" By the end of the session he was giving her big hugs and even a sweet little "I love you!" Awww...so sweet! New little Mr. B, he probably doesn't remember too much from the last time we met. He was pretty cautious of us!

Mom and Dad alway takes such beautiful pictures. I love this one because you can see the valley behind them. Dad was disappointed we didn't have time to try his "idea"...but what do you think? This one turned out awesome though didn't it! Next time! ;)

We have been loving our big guilded frame this year. Its perfect for super fun holiday pictures. I LOVE this one!

I couldn't help but post Ms. J's super awesome shoes. LOVE them! Ms. J is super stylish and always has the best shoes. This little pink ribbon, Mom told me had been on since summer camp!

The afternoon we met was an unusually warm one for Fall. There were a ton of people in the park, including the ICE CREAM MAN! Our session included a little snack for the kids! Mr. J was showing me what he got!

I said before that these kiddos and really this family is up for anything so when we pulled out one of umbrellas - Ms. J was into it! We have been wanting to try an umbrella shadow for awhile now!

Dad and the kids were so cute. I adore this image! I love Mr. J's hands on the top of Dad's head.

I had the 2 images below rolling around in my head for a little bit. I had seen a similar image and wanted to try it out. When the H family booked their session, I thought...A-ha...Ms. J will totally do this! Isn't this awesome...do not be surprised if you see this one on a business card! I absolutely double *heart* this!

Bonnie processed both these images with a vintage action and added textures. EXACTLY what I had been thinking about!

Of course...we have to have FEET!

Twins in the Park

Excuse me if I get a little bit giddy in this post. We are just so excited every time we get to hang out with these two little sweet peas! I am thinking that they actually might be starting to recognize us a little bit!

We met Ms. O and Mr. C and their parents in a park near their house for some Fall pictures. It was a really nice little park and the leaves were just starting to peak. I love the image below...cute little smiles...on Mom and Dad! {hee hee}

"Busy" is a word that pretty much describes these two. They are both walking...or shall we say running and are so busy exploring their world. They were having a great time this morning checking out the park. I am not sure they noticed us much...to much too see.

How cute is this! She was giving Dora a great big kiss.

We brought our blocks a long and good thing we did. They loved them. While Bonnie worked with Mom and Dad, I hung out with the Twins and the blocks. But here is the amazing part. They were reading them to me...no really...they were. I would hold up a block and say "what's this letter" and one of them (or both at times) would say "S" or "G" or whatever I happen to be holding up. NO KIDDING! To me it was absolutely amazing! I suppose next time I see them Mr. C will be sitting on a bench reading Harry Potter or something. Incredible.

This pictures makes me laugh. Dogs and Puppies are generally a Kiddiewhampus best friend during a photo shoot. In fact, I am starting to wonder if I should be bringing my dog Bella, just so she can sit behind us so the kids will stare at her and smile. We are generally in parks where people are walking their pets and more often than not the kids spot them before we do! Ms. O was so excited when she saw this puppy in the park and from the looks of it the puppy was excited to see her!

FEET! It would not be a family session without a post with some feet!

So cute!

Mr. C and Ms. O we had an awesome time with you, as usual. You are both so sweet and its been so fun watching your little personalities come through and shine! We cannot wait to see you both again and see what you all can do next!

F Family/Extended Family Fun Shoot

We decided that for our very last session of our outdoor holiday season we were going to go out big. A large extended family photoshoot!

This type of session with a larger number of people is not one that Kiddiewhampus normally does for a variety of reasons...but when its your mother-in-law asking...exactly how do you say No? Besides...we were up for a challenge.

We are busy editing this session, however, in the meantime....here is a fun sneek peek storyboard....can you follow who are the siblings?

The K Family at the Park

Whew! Its been quite the Fall season this year and we are hard at work editing all of our wonderful family sessions! We were so lucky to meet a new Kiddiewhampus family on our very last weekend for outdoor sessions.

How truly adorable is this image.

This little one was not very amused by the whole "photo" thing and she was very shy. I tried all my tricks and she was not too interested. Looks like her Daddy got smiles easily! Isn't this picture so sweet!

I had to post this silly, cute picture of Mr. N. We were trying to keep the kids engaged and amused and I pulled out the old animal crackers. Mr. N was being silly here....still makes me giggle when I see it...it totally reminds me of my own little guy!

The S Family at the Orchard

You are all warned up front. I might go just a little bit crazy with this post! I just could not decide which photos to show you, because they are all just...well...just awesome! This family is new this year to the Kiddiewhampus family. They probably look familiar from our sneek peek earlier this Fall.
Mr. L and Ms. M were like a photographers dream...not only gorgeous, but were pretty much up for anything. We had so much fun! Mom was looking for some "different" stuff and we were so excited!

Mr. L is the sweetest dude. We met very early on a Saturday morning because he had a football game later in the morning (which they won by the way - Go Mr. L!). One thing that struck me is how sweet he was with his Mom. His necklace is pretty cool huh? He had just got it the night before and wanted to wear it for pictures. Isn't he handsome! I am just in love with the middle one, it really seemed to catch his personality and that little twinkle he has in his eyes.

Ms. M was just stunning. Right away were like..."let's start with you!" She is an ice skater so she knew how to be poised and carried herself very confidently. We literally could have photographed her all day!

So this is a really fun image. I am not sure they knew where I was going with it...it turned out adorable right?!. I could just see this image on the front or the back of a Christmas Card! For those of you wondering...yes that is the "S" off of my livingroom wall and no my husband doesn't ask anymore when I walk out of the house with our furniture!

I saw a similar example of this image just before this session and thought it was so cute. These two were up for it. I love it!

Mom and Dad were so much fun. Dad was more than willing to have a few snuggles with Mom without too much of a twist of his arm. I absolutely adore the photo on the left!

This image makes me giggle. Look at Ms. M's face...Classic!

These two were typical siblings....

When we would ask Mr. L to put his arm around his sister, or stand really close next to his sister...a lot of times we would actually get the "face" below. It was hilarious! Don't get the wrong idea from the image below...these two really seemed to get along well. Made me wish I had a little brother!

Was I wrong about how stunning this family is or what...I mean...every picture is beautiful!

The image below was a fun one. I wanted to get a fun picture of everyone's hands so I started to explain what I wanted to do and Mom said "maybe you might want to look at my daughters hands first" and we looked and each one of her fingernails was a different color. I said "perfect"...love it!

The B Family on Main Street

I am SO behind on blogging over here. We have been busy wrapping up our Fall sessions as of last weekend and now we are in full blown, crazy, busy editing mode! Thought I would take a quick break and re-introduce you to the B Family. I introduced you to them in a sneek peek a few weeks ago. We had a really fun afternoon together and got some fantastic images!

Can you say photogenic? WOW. Mr. R, Ms. N and Mr. C were awesome. These little boys were amazing. Not one complaint out of them and we took pictures for a LONG time!

We were so impressed with the relationship between these two boys and their sister. They were totally adorable with each other. There was no twisting these arms to snuggle up for pictures!

I have known Mom for like...what...forever? She is one very special person. So special to me in fact, that I was honored to have her sing at my wedding! I just love to see her and her husband together. Dad is just as wonderful and they are so much fun!

One thing that this family asked is that we try and highlight their beautiful blended family and Dad wanted pictures with his kids. I just love how we were able to capture all of the loving spirit of this family!

OK, so there is usually one photo that I fall in love with out of each session, lots of time more than one! When I pulled this one up on the computer, I just knew that this one would be it. It is actually a crop of a larger photo and every time I pulled it up...it just begged to be a close up. I love how this particular image really speaks Mr. C!! LOVE it!

As I mentioned in my sneek peek. Mom does some speaking and wanted to get some updated headshots to use. I thought they turned out amazing and she looks gorgeous. I would definately want to go and hear what she has to say!

I always say and I can't help but say it again...I love Mommies with their sons. I absolutely ADORE this picture on the left...her boys giving her big smooches. Adorable! They kind of look like twins right?

We had a blast with this family and I think we got some pretty outstanding images and are so excited to share them with you and we cannot wait to see them again!

Twins in the Leaves

Hello Mr. I and Miss A...you are back to play with us in the leaves! It was a chilly Sunday moring and these two came ready for a chill with their cute matching red coats!
They are so funny, they like to watch what toys we show up with! They are both crawling...but Mr. I...is F-A-S-T!

Mr. I is very, very easy to get a giggle out of....he was full of them this morning!

This was so funny. We thought maybe the pumpkins would slow them down, but Mr. I would take the pumpkin and throw it at us...we would try again...and...he would throw it back to us, like the pumpkin was a little ball. So funny!

We will have more of Miss A, Mr. I and their fun Mom and Dad coming up!

{Sneek Peek} The H Family

Well, here they are again...but this year they are plus one! Mr. B, you may remember him from his newborn photos here, is the newest addition to the H Family. We met this family at a park near their home for some fun family photos.

Miss J is one of our favorite little girls and she is usually up for just about anything and with her huge brown eyes, I bet she is the apple of her Daddy's eyes!

Mr. J is just about the sweetest little boy that you could ever meet. When I say sweet, I mean it. You just want to grab and hug him. He came up to me when they got to the park and said "Hi, my name is J...are you here to take my picture?" At various points during the session he would give Bonnie big hugs and say "I love you"...he just pulls at our heart strings!

Here is little Mr. B, look at how big he is! He was so funny, watching his brother and sister and you could just see in his eyes...he wants to go, go, go! Mom and Dad better watch out...when this guy starts moving...I have a strange feeling he will be moving F-A-S-T!

{SNEEK PEEK} Mr. C and Miss O in the Park

We were SO excited to see Mr. C and Miss O again this Fall. We have to admit it, we get a little bit excited when we see these two AND we figured out that we were meeting exactly 1 year to the day from the first time we met them! WOW!

Here is a really nice family shot...just LOVE the color behind them...beautiful!

This Spring when we saw them last, the kids were just starting to stand and this time....weeelll if you saw a blur run by you...that was probably them! But who could blame them, there were lots of things to see and do in the park that morning...leaves, bridges, trees and our funny reflector and puppies. But look...we got them to "slow their roll" a little for some cute pictures. Not sure how we did it, because we lost our famous chicken that the kids love so much and didn't have him with us (don't worry we found him...whew!) but we did have a pretty cool Cookie Monster toy.

Guess what caught their attention here...an iphone with a cartoon! :) Dad brought his phone over and played the cartoon for them and kinda dangled it above Bonnie's head and poof...like magic. I love Mr. C...he is so cute and casual when he hangs out with us. I think he likes to get his picture taken!

We just love these two little peanuts and they change so much every time we meet them. I can't wait to show you more of our very busy and fun morning! On my final post remind me to tell you about how these two were actually reading the letters on our wooden blocks to me...READING...seriously they were!!

{Sneek Peek} The S Family

Oh my goodness!!!! Meet one of the newest Kiddiewhampus families - the S Family. We were so excited to meet and photograph this family and we were totally jazzed about meeting them at an apple orchard/winery for our session. It was a GORGEOUS morning and the Fall colors were just stunning! With the red hair and the orange fall colors....my oh my!!!!

We loved these two...they were just old enough to be able to do some super fun things with and are they beautiful kids or what?!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture of Dad and the kids! {swoon!}

Awww....is this the cutest thing ever. He was so sweet and indulged his Mom with a kiss! This guy was SO much fun, we loved him and I think we must have given him some good luck because he won his football game later that day!

{Sneek Peek} The C Family

Meet the C Family. We had to go alllll the way to North Dakota for this shoot! Mom just happens to be my sister, Bonnie's daughter and these are my super fun nephews, Mr. A, Mr. T and Mr. J.
We asked them to be "silly"...and this is what we got! I love how little Mr. J strutted for the camera....but Mr. T...what?!...don't you dare smile!

These boys are so funny together...lots of energy, but how adorable. They all have distinct and different personalities. Mom and Dad have their hands full with this pack. This is probably one of the only times that they sat this close and it didn't end in a choke hold of some kind! I love boys! Good job boys, fantastic picture for Mom!

The O Family

At Kiddiewhampus we always see the families that we photograph as our family too. It is so much fun and such an honor to photograph the Kiddiewhampus families as their children grow up and its fun to "hang out" a few times a year. What a fun job we have.

We are simply giddy when we get to know brand new families. The O Family was one of our new families this season and we could not have been more excited. I have known Mom since highschool and its so much fun to see my highschool friends with their families. We met in a park and it was one of those weeks in September where it was 50 degrees most of the week and then BAM 85 on the weekend. You never knew what you were going to get when you went outside. It was a gorgeous day and it was HOT! These two peanuts were so much fun....full of energy, wiggly and so funny! I borrowed this couch when Mom told me the colors they were going to be wearing. Looks pretty out there. In order to get the boys to sit on my couch I told them it was the "tickle couch" and when they sat down...I couldn't help but give them a few tickles...and look at the smiles that old tickle couch gave us! ADORABLE!

The giggle brothers had a sister. Miss L and she was so sweet and adorable and LOVED her brothers. You could tell she was used to a lot of "action" in the house. I love the image below...it is so beautiful and contemplative. Gorgeous eyelashes.

These two crazy monkey's took awesome pictures and they did SO good with us. I told them about this tree where I was pretty sure there were fairies living. They just about knocked me down as they bolted over to that tree to see. While we were over there we got some wonderful "brother" photos. How awesome is the middle one...I think I said "give your brother a hug" and this choke hold is what we got! PERFECT brother shot!

Here they all are again...and look at that, even Miss L is having a great time. This image was processed with "sugar cookie." I love the way it turned out!

Love these individuals of the kiddos! Dads are so much fun, which is why we love taking pictures of families. Here are some adorable shots of Dad with the kids.

Mommies are fun too...cute images of Mom!

Miss L was all smiles (after she had a snack!). The boys would stand behind us or next to us and do very silly things to make her laugh. Based on how big her smile is....I am guessing she is more than in love with her brothers!

We LOVED this family and we had such a great time. Thanks Dad for helping to carry the couch! Mom...you look just as gorgeous as you did in highschool and you have an absolutely delightful family and we cannot wait to see you all again!

The J Family in the Park

The J Family kicked off our Fall season and can you say...FAB-u-Lous!!! We had a gorgeous morning and a beautiful park. Put that together with two wonderful and totally cooperative kids...you get...Magic!
Miss P is just beautiful. She was having so much fun playing with us this morning and telling us all about school. She is just the sweetest little girl. We just go nuts thinking of ideas of fun things we can do with her! Best part is....she loves the camera (or maybe she just love us!)

And of course, we have our monogram pictures. I pulled that "p" right off Bonnie's wall as we were walking out the door! (I have no idea why she had a "p" on her wall...but it worked for me!)

Ahhh....love this one. Mom and Dad are so cute. Miss P was standing behind the camera imitating me...and trying to get them to smile. Worked!

They call this little guy "Bubba"...he is so adorable and has the best cheeks. He is a very busy boy and for some reason he was "feeling" us this morning and had a good time. When we photographed him last year...well...let's just say that Mommy got a LOT of pictures of his back!

Mom tried to think of things that might keep Mr. G's attention. She had the great idea of bringing a bunch of baseballs with (because all boys love balls). When we pulled this out...he dove straight in!

We told Mr. G to give mommy a hug. That is when he found her necklace and wouldn't let go!

This is one of Bonnie's favorite pictures from the morning. The kids just running and playing together. Getting their wiggles out!

Daddies and Daughters so sweet.

So the story behind this little red truck is pretty hilarious. We were wrapping up the session and I said "whoops we forgot the truck" so while we were finishing up with Mom and Mr. G, Dad went and got it for us. Mr. G spotted that bright red truck from across the field and just frreeaaked out. Let out the most hilarious scream of delight when he saw it and took off running towards it. It was literally one of the most hysterical things ever. I guess its safe to say that he was pretty excited about it!

Of course Miss P wanted a ride too. Here is a sweet little hug on the firetruck before Mr. G was booted off for a little girly joy ride!

I wish I could show you all of these photos because they were all so much fun and just turned out fabulous. What a fabulous way to start off our Fall season. Thanks J Family can't wait to see you guys again.

Elijah

We were saddened beyond words last week as we heard of the passing of a special little boy in his sleep. We met little Eli and his wonderful parents earlier this year when he was just a few weeks old. He was so sweet and alert and clearly the light in his parents eyes.

We will always keep a very special place in our hearts for this little boy and we are so very honored to have met him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his parents Ben and Leah in this time of great sorrow.

The B Family on Main Street

We met the B family on one of those early Fall...perfect gorgeous days. It was sunny, it was warm and the Vikings won....seriously could it be more perfect? Here are some sneek peeks of our fun afternoon.

We LOVED working with these two boys. Mr. R and Mr. C. They did such a great job and when we saw how they just sort of...posed....and seemed to just go with it...we kind went a little bit nuts!

Ahh...the vine wall...my favorite. We loved this one...boys are so silly!

Mom wanted to get some headshots done while we were at it for some of her speaking engagements. We got some beautiful shots. Here she is looking like a hot mama! Check out her necklace...hello...SO cute!

A Summer Morning with Miss O and the N Family

We introduced you to Miss O a few weeks ago in our sneek peeks. We met the N family and the sweet Miss O on a beautiful Sunday morning. There is usually one image in our session that will take our breath away and sometimes several. The image below...is one of those images where the words get stuck in your throat its so beautiful. Check out her bright eyes!
Miss O was full of energy and was ready to take pictures immediately. When we brought out this umbrella she was IN LOVE. She didn't want to let it go!

I love the image below...so cute!

The image below is just all Miss O...with her giggly sweet personality. Whenever I look at this picture it makes me giggle and remember how much fun we had!

Every girl needs a great pair of shoes. Miss O had these fabulous sparkly shoes...LOOOVEEE THEM...wish they came in my size (seriously I do).

Miss O was a brand new sister. She welcomed a baby brother in the house about 3 weeks before our session. She was very proud of him and "introduced" us right away. She was definately "in love"!

Meet Mr. G...he basically did....well, this...the entire session. While Miss O was taking a quick break we focused our attention on Mr. G. I love images of babies outside in the summer...just love them. I was thrilled to get some of Mr. G!

We brought along one of our vintage cameras. Here is Miss O taking some pictures of mommy. Now here is the funny part...and really does make me feel old because we handed the camera to Miss O and she immediately pointed it at her mother...but instead of looking through the view finder...she held it out in front of her and asked why she couldn't see it on the screen....well, Miss O...this is one of those "old fashioned" film cameras my dear!!!

We didn't get a good chance to get a family picture. We were gaining light by the second as it approached noon and Miss O was losing interest in us very fast. We did capture this beautiful image as we walked around the park. If you look close you can see Mr. G's little head in his mommy's arms. I adore this pictures....and not only becuase it is a gorgeous example of some isolated Sun Flare!

Sometimes you don't need to bring props...the park just provides them for you. We were walking and came across quite a few ducks by the pond...the literally rushed at us as we were walking assuming we had some food. She was so cute watching them and I love that you can see her little curls on the back of her head. Miss O fed the ducks some of her breakfast burrito she hadn't finished...my thought...some of those ducks had a little bit of heart burn!

We had an absolute lovely time witht he N family and adored both Miss O and Mr. G. We cannot wait to see this family again and have some more fun!!!

Meet the O Family!

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting this fun family on a warm Sunday afternoon! Mr. S and Mr. C...were SO squirrely and fun and Miss L was an absolute doll.

These two little boys did SO good and I am not sure what was more exciting to them - the Dairy Queen that they were going to have or my tickle couch that made them giggle and laugh. Aren't the just adorable!

Miss L is an adorable little girl that LOVES to smile, LOVES her brothers and LOVES baby cereal puffs!

We had so much fun and we can't wait to show you more of the O family and maybe...just maybe...you might spot the little tiny fairies that Mr. C and Mr. S and I found in the park!

Perfect Start to Fall & the J Family!

Kiddiewhampus started our Fall season this weekend and we started it off with this gorgeous family!

You may remember the J family from last year or maybe you remember the kiddos from here or here or here or here. We had a beautiful cool morning and we got some breathtaking images! We are just lovin this family picture...brought tears to my eyes!

Miss P is our rockstar model. First of all she is gorgeous and second of all she LOVES to pose for the camera. This image is just stunning!

These two peanuts just LOVE each other.

Here he is...Mr. G. He is an adorable busy little guy! Last year we literally had 40 pictures of his back. This year, we were so excited to see his awesome smile! He was so good. We would direct him to do something and 9 times out of 10...he did it! Mr. G will have to give directions on how to do that to my boys!!

Sessions are $200.00 and payment is due on the date of your session. Your Sessions will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. You will receive a full sized/full resolution disk of approximately 25-30 images and a slideshow DVD. A non-refundable deposit of $25.00 is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot. All adults in photographs are required to sign a release for themselves and on behalf of their children.

* Rain Days will open up for last minute bookings OR a possible mini-session dates if they are not needed for rain day make ups. Starting November 1st, sessions outside can be hit or miss with the weather we will open outdoor sessions as we get closer to November and can gauge the weather. Indoor/backdrop appointments can be booked normally.

Some special notes from Kiddiewhampus on the Fall Schedule

Due to the high volume of sessions during the Fall, you may expect a longer than 30 day turnaround beginning September 1st. Although we will do our best to stick to the 30 days, please do not be surprised if it may take up to 5-7 longer during this crunch time.
Sessions scheduled after November 7th will not be able to be ready for Christmas Cards...but will be ready for New Year's Cards! :)
Kiddiewhampus reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to weather or possible illness (its that time of year again...cold season). If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us immediately so we can rebook your spot to another client and get you a new time in our schedule. Please note that we will do our best to reschedule your session at the next available time, but appreciate your flexibilty that the session may need to be moved to a weekday to accomodate schedules.

The B Family, Mr. O and a Birthday Cake!

We were so excited to see sweet Mr. O. You probably remember him from here. This uber adorable little guy, was oh so not impressed with us, the first time we met. We did just about everything to make him smile, without much luck. This time, however, he was full of smiles and fun!! Yeah!

Meet Mr. O's Mom and Dad. They were so easy to work with and we had so much fun.
It was ridiculously hot this afternoon and opted for backdrop photos vs. the park. But we wanted to try and head outside briefly to the front stoop for a family photo. We had to be quick, because we were all pretty much melting in the sun. So glad we went outside...LOVE these images. These were processed with "Sugar Cookie." Adorable.

Here is "Mr. Smiley Pants." He is probably laughing at his Daddy!

Beautiful pictures of Mommy and Son.

We brought lots of toys with us to Mr. O's house and he LOVED playing with our blocks. Stacking them, restacking them and eating them. The picture on the far right was a request from Dad...he wanted to capture Mr. O's cute Frankenstein walk!

More playtime with Mr. O!

We were super excited for Mr. O's cake smash session. We ADORE these sessions, they are super fun for all of us!

Mr. O LOVED his cake (which, by the way smelled INCREDIBLE). He didn't attack it like we expected, but he definately dug right into the blue balloon.

We had such a great time with Mr. O, taking photos of the whole family and helping to celebrate the big "1" and we are thrilled that we got to see Mr. O's wonderfully cute smile! The image below is one of my favorites from the session. I just giggle at the expression!

Morning Fun with the N Family

Last weekend, we spent a gorgeous (and hot) morning with the N Family. This family was absolutely delightful and it was a pleasure to meet them. Little Miss O was an energetic, fun little girl who liked dancing, music and her teddy! Mr. G, well he was just brand new and he mainly liked to sleep (and eat)!

We fell in love with this image of Miss O. In fact, Bonnie said to me..."it's images like this that make me remember how much I love photography"....she is right...AMAZING! (she reminds me of a little fairy)

Here is Mommy and Mr. G. Mr. G was just a few weeks old. Seemed to be very content snoozing through the session.

OH MY GOSH. We pulled this photo up on the computer and **swoon** LOVED IT!

Miss O was very attached to Daddy. She was giggly and silly and they were simply adorable together.

Another amazing candid of Miss O. She was a busy little girl and obviously was wanting to check out this beautiful park. She was a few feet ahead of me...I called her name...she turned and...{click}...gorgeous moment that simply says....Miss O!!

Mom asked if they could bring music to hopefully help Miss O relax. When we started the CD player it was DANCE TIME. She was so cute spinning and dancing in her little tutu dress. Just adorable!

Hard to get much "newer" than this!

We had the priviledge of meeting this little guy when he was only 48 hours old! Welcome to the world Mr. B! His Mommy is the daughter of our neighbors and she literally got out of the hospital and walked across the street for a photoshoot!

What is more amazing than getting to photograph a 48 hour old baby? Well that would be meeting a 48 hour old baby this WIDE AWAKE! I mean WIDE AWAKE with not even a heavy eye for 2 hours. This little guy was the most alert infant I have ever seen.

He was not all that impressed with us and he definately liked to be wrapped burrito tight. Holding this baby gave me a little itch...

Even though he would not sleep for us and we were not able put him into the giant tea cup I bought special for him, or get him to lay propped on his tummy, we still got some stunning images of this adorable little boy. Funny thing is, that even after 4 days, I bet he already looks different. They change SO incredibly fast which is why we very much encourage our clients that are pregnant to schedule newborn sessions within the first 5-10 days.

Boys in the Park

Look who's back! Its Mr. E and Mr. C back for their 1 year photo session. We were SO excited to see these two boys again. We had not seen them since the Fall so we were so curious to see how much they had grown! Boy have they grown up! We met in a park in the northwest suburbs on an absolutely gorgeous Sunday morning!
A lot of times our "twins" don't really like to be photographed together, its actually quite a strange thing. In fact, its so funny to watch twins together because often times they don't really notice each other much at all. Mr. E and Mr. C didn't mind too much being photographed together. They were so easy going this morning even in the heat. It was probably at least 85 degrees at 10:00 in the morning.

The boys really liked our little white bench. Check out their little outfits...are you kidding me....they are So adorable!

Mr. E has grown up so much. Doesn't he look so much like Daddy? He was actually our super model this day. He was very "into" his pictures. We got so many cute ones of this little guy!

Mr. C was SUPER busy, he was everywhere...standing up on everything and crawling all over the place. I think he looks the most like his mommy...don't you? The heat got to Mr. C and by the end of the photoshoot he was pretty cranky. In fact, it took him less than 5 minutes after being put into his carseat in the cool car to fall asleep. We didn't even get to say goodbye to you Mr. C!

This pictures is so adorable and what makes me love it more is knowing that Bonnie is laying on the ground and I am dancing with a rubber chicken behind her. I promise, sometime we will have someone come with an take video or some pictures...it will probably end up "viral" on YouTube its so silly.

The two boys are so curious. Here they are trying to get our little spinning laser ball.

Here come the toddler feet!

As you know I am obsessed with sunflare this year. I caught the greatest sunflare on this family photo. I almost cried when I saw it...LOVE IT! It just looks warm and inviting! By the way...I am balancing on a rock in a little stream here (what you have to do for a great shot!)

We have been taking pictures of Mr. E and Mr. C since they were infants. How fun it has been to be there for their milestones. We just love this family! Below is a storyboard of their first year!

Happy Birthday Mr. E and Mr. C! We have enjoyed your first year and can't wait to keep watching you grow! We are SO excited to meet your new sister or brother...yes, Mom told us she was pregnant the day of the photoshoot. I know what you are thinking...she looks FABULOUS!! We are so thrilled and we are sure that the new little one will be just was adorable as these two!

Twins Turning One!

I can't believe that they are already one year olds! Seems like a week ago, we took their newborn photos and just a week ago that we were taking their six month photos. Time definately does fly.

When Mr. I and Miss A's mom called to schedule a session, she had the perfect place in mind. She wanted to have their pictures done in a place that had "memories" for them. We battled some rain that day, in fact, we almost had to reschedule the session, but luckily, the sun came out and we could have some fun and play in a park near their house.

Well, here they are...the Twins! Mr. I and Miss A were great models and were so sweet, even though it was very humid. Perfect gorgeous colorful outfits and cute smiles!

Check out little Miss A. She was giggling and smiling and doing a great job as model. We got so many smiles out of her this afternoon...we were quite impressed with ourselves! See her cute little skirt, we are proud to say that we made that especially for her to wear with that adorable first birthday onsie!

Here is Mr. I. He always has huge smiles and giggles for us. This time he was all tongue. He loved to stick out his tongue for the camera. We tried not to take it personally.

I am IN LOVE with this photo. I have so much fun playing with the sun and capturing that sunflare. Its so gorgeous, dreamy and they look so timeless. In fact, you might see quite a bit of these in the near future, as I have been a tiny bit obsessed with getting these sunflare shots. (If you would have seen me laying practically on my back on top an anthill to get this shot...well, this photo would mean so much more to you! Hee Hee!)

We had to try and get this photo. We had a similar one from their six month session. We love to try and do photos that are similar so we can see how much they have grown! Miss A would not put her arm down. I would try and tuck it down, and it would pop right back up, tuck it down and right back up again (you get the picture). I think she was trying to reach for the camera!

The park we went to had really fun and very modern play equipment. The equipment looked more like sculptures. As we were walking through the park before the session started, Bonnie spotted this hopscotch square on the ground. We sat the twins between the "1" for their "1" year old picture...get it...they are one, there is a one on the ground...ahhhh...oh well, we were trying to be clever! We love it!

We were enjoying the flowers and the gardens at this park. Miss A found one of our super cute umbrellas to shade herself from the sun. These photos were processed with a fun technique called "sugar cookie." I absolutely love this look, its vintagy...hazy and has a washed out color. Love it. What better choice of processing for these two sweet peas!

Chubby toddler rolls...gotta love them!

Miss A and Mr. I brought some matching jogging suits given to them by their Grandma. We decided to head over to the playground. Here we brought out the "A" and the "I" letters. Mr. I found his to be very tasty. From the look on Miss A's face, she was completely unimpressed. (Here is the sugar cookie wash again).

We had so much fun, as usual with these two sweet little people and are so grateful that they chose Kiddiewhampus to document their first year. We cannot wait to see you again soon!

Mr. O is back!

Little Mr. O is back and this time he is 1 years old and such a busy little guy. We just might have to nickname him "Dash." He was a mover and a shaker and had places to go!

But look....we have smiles this time around (see his first Kiddiewhampus shoot here). I told Mr. O that I wasn't leaving without some smiles....and look buddy, I got one out of you this time, actually I got a lot of them!

We had such a good time with Mr. O and his family. I love this image...wonder what he is contemplating here? Probably where he is going to run off to next or maybe what toy to play with or possibly how to get rid of us! :)

I can't wait to share our "cake smash" images of Mr. O and his super, duper yummy looking cake. I LOVE those cake smash sessions, they are so much fun. Everyone is laughing and the cake smells just delicious and usually ends up EVERYwhere! (Doesn't this cake look amazing...its smelled amazing!)

The D Family those Twins

We were so happy to spend the 4th of July with the D Family. We have been friends with this family for quite some time and since we were all up north together, it was a perfect time for a family photoshoot. We met in the morning and it was more than a little bit hot, like the kind of day that feels like you are wrapped in a warm wet blanket at 9:00 in the morning. Ugh. But you could never tell from the images we got that morning.

These two boys were so busy. It was hard to get them to stop and look at the camera. We tried ALL of our tricks with these two. We had our chicken out, we had cars, we had stuff animals. The only thing that worked was our glowing, spinning ball...oh and Mom and Day behind us saying "Tasty Chimichangas"....so funny! Whatever works right?!

Wouldn't be a post with out some Kiddiewhampus feet! Their crazy sandles kept popping off their feet. Its ok boys, fashion isn't always easy!

LOVE the mommy's and their sons (but you know that already). So sweet, classic and tender.

We love to get some shots of Mom and Dad together. We always get the same comment "feels like our engagement shots"...well, pretty much. But how awesome are these romantic images and we all need a little romance in our lives.

This photo is less than perfect but amazing at the same time. LOOK at this Mr. T's eyes. Just simply stunning and amazing!!!

More pictures of Mom and the boys. They were probably getting a little bit hot about this time, so they were willing to sit still for some adorable Mommy and son photos!

Love this image....so sweet and priceless!

This image is so cute. They were looking at the little creek bed in front of them when I yelled "BOYS!" at the top of my lungs making them both look back quickly. My favorite part is Mom holding Mr. T's hand. I love the whole toddler arms up in the air holding onto Mommy. I think Mr. A lost his shoe again. Must have startled him with my yelling! VERY cute!

I mentioned that we know this family really well. Earlier in the summer Bonnie and their Grandma were just hanging out with Mr. T and Mr. A and Bonnie took a few pictures of the boys. We decided to put a few in a storyboard and share with this post. This guy has the greatest smile and crazy beautiful blue eyes! Adorable.

The D Family was an absolute joy to work with and even though it was hot...the kids, Mom and even Dad did a great job. I am certain that after the session was over, they all hit the beach! Thanks for sharing your holiday with us (and Mr. T and Mr A's kiddie pool) and we can't wait to see you all again soon!

Sunshine and Twins

We spent last Sunday morning at the park with Mr. E and Mr. C and their Mom and Dad. We were so excited to see them, they have grown so much. You may remember them from here, here or here.

Really seems like so long ago. But here they are turning one already!!! When their mom emailed me she said "I can't believe they are turning one, the first time you photographed them they were wearing newborn clothes!" We can't believe it either!

Dan and Emily - Engaged!

This post is so much fun for Kiddiewhampus. We had the pleasure of having an engagement photo session with these two awesome people. They are getting married this October in Hilton Head.

When Emily called and said that they really wanted Minneapolis to be represented in their wedding and asked that we take their engagement photos. We could not have been more honored or more excited.

We met on a Sunday afternoon at the Minneapolis Sculpture gardens and it was a packed house. Lots and lots of people and at least two weddings that we could see.

Both of them were relaxed and excited to talk about the wedding and the details.

It was so fun to see this couple interact...relaxed, comfortable and in love.

Dan is the best. I have known him for some time now and is just an all around awesome guy and very funny. Makes me laugh a lot!

As we strolled the park, these two were pretty much ready and up for anything...

This is Emily - Knowing her for years I know that she is not a super fan of pictures or picture taking and most pictures I have of her, her tongue is out. I have no idea why she is not a fan of pictures - the camera absolutely loves her. Look how beautiful she is! Dan this is your beautiful wife!

You knew that you would see it eventually - feet! Look at Emily's awesome Diva shoes. I need some!

There are so many images from this session that I think are awesome - this series by the brick wall are some of my very favorites out of the bunch.

The garden has this area with these trick mirrors. We were kind of just "trying something out" here. They were up for it. Interesting, more arty pictures than the norm. But kinda cool nonetheless. The image on the right...make Dan look like a ghost doesn't it?

We were really impressed with how naturally this couple fit. It was like we were working with a couple that had been married for years. Love the image below.

I brought a basket and some wine thinking we would walk over to Loring Park and set up a blanket and get some images with the wine. Unfortunately the bridge over the highway - not working. I still wanted to get the wine shots, but all of us were too nervous to open it with all the people around in that part of the park. So we ended up with the image below.

We had an absolute blast with this session it was a nice change of pace from our normal sessions with the kiddos. We are so excited for these two and are so looking forward to them getting married. Congratulations Emily and Dan!

The D Family and Tasty Chimichangas!

We were so excited to photograph this family and to meet another set of Twins! We decided that we would have this session "up north" over 4th of July weekend. It happened to literally be about 90 degrees at 10:00 in the morning but this family looks cool and wonderful! They were so cute that nearly every image takes your breath away.

Here are a couple of sneek peeks...

We found this awesome pioneer village and the boys are sitting on the deck of the school house. Inside were rows and rows of desks with little slates (think Little House on the Prairie). Mom wrote their names on the slates. Even though we had to blank out the names for this blog, the image is amazing! So cute!

This family did not take a bad picture, the colors and outfits are wonderful! I love this image in particular because of the way they are connected, holding hands with one another. So sweet.

These little guys were busy, busy and all over the place (as boys will do!) but we were able to get their attention with a variety of things (chickens, horns, pinwheels) but what worked the best? Mom and Dad saying "Tasty Chimichangas" over and over. We have heard a lot of things come out of parents mouths, but this one was probably the funniest! I am surprised that Bonnie didn't fall into this little stream from laughing so hard!

Twins Turning ONE!

We have had the pleasure of meeting so many clients with wonderful sets of twins over the last year. We were able to take their photos when they were just itty bitty. This summer, well...they are all growing up and we have had a whole bunch of special Twin First Birthday sessions. It has been so much fun to see them all and how much they all have grown (so fast I might add) and what a gift for us to be able to capture their first year.

We have had the pleasure of photographing these Twins several times (see here and here). So when their Mommy called and said they were ready for their 1 year session, we were thrilled to meet them at a local park.

Here are a couple of sneek peeks of these two sweet siblings Miss A and Mr. I!

Miss A and Mr. I's Mommy really was excited about getting this image. We were skeptical, about being able to capture her vision because the weather was weird to say the least. It would be really bright and get really cloudy randomly throughout the session which was causing havoc on our lighting conditions. When we let the kids play by the fence...poof...perfect conditions for the picture, so glad - what a cute one!

Kiddiewhampus found these t-shirts especially with Miss A and Mr. I in mind. So cute!

A very dark and stormy (and kinda scary) Saturday morning led to having to very quickly end the session barely before it started. Fast forward two weeks later and you have a prestine early summer evening and presto...perfect session!

Miss A was so happy this evening and lasted much longer than either Mom or Dad expected. In fact, she might have almost outlasted Dad!
I love being able to photograph Mom and Dad seperately during our family sessions. Aren't they the cutest!

I love everything about this photograph...

Miss A was a SUPER fast crawler...it was hard to get her to sit still. This park was full of people walking dogs and Miss A was facinated by the dogs as they walked by. At one point we asked a woman "could you please just stand with your dog behind the camera so Miss A look at our camera?"

This hat is a funny story. Mom borrowed it from someone and wanted Miss A to wear it for her pictures. Of course, we saw it and went bananas (if you haven't noticed we love hats...a lot!). But Miss A wanted nothing to do with that hat. This picture was taken in the 3.2 seconds that she wore the hat! Maybe next time we can get her to wear it Mom!

This pretty red fluffy skirt is one of our newest props and we LOVE it! We ordered it specifically with Miss A in mind. Look at her...so pretty!

This session produced some awesome pictures of this little family.

Of course we have to post some feet. Love the feet, especially chubby toddler feet!

Would you believe that when this picture was taken we were literally darting thunder, lightening and raindrops?!

When we rescheduled our session I told Miss A's Mom "bring the turquoise dress....it was gorgeous with the green of the grass" Look how beautiful Miss A is...was I right?!

We finally got our sunshine this week so we could play with Miss A and her family. It was raining and dark all morning and I thought...no way, this isn't happening to them again. Rain, Rain Go Away - the L Family wants to play

It was bound to happen sooner or later...a rain day! The L family was on our schedule for at least a month, waiting for the perfect mix of lush green grass and a sunny day. Then the day of the session...well, let's just say it was less than perfect...gray and dark. {bummer} This is a first for Kiddiewhampus, we have been very lucky so far.

Now, Kiddiewhampus doesn't mind overcast days, in fact, those kinds of days are actually some of the best for photographers. But this day...it was very dark and let's just say "ominous." Lots of things working against the perfect session this morning...rain looming, thunder in the background and very wet grass. {sigh}

BUT we did get to meet this cute family and meet Miss A, who was wonderfully adorable. We got some pictures, but we have rescheduled for after Memorial Day to hopefully get some fun shots on a much nicer and much drier day! We are looking forward to seeing them again!

This is Miss A...she is a simply adorable todder and very, very busy. When she starts to walk...look out mom and dad, she has places to go and things to see!

Would you believe that this little girl is literally sitting about an inch from the the curb of the parking lot, in fact we are standing in a parking stall taking the photo, not to mention this garden, well it surrounded the restrooms at the park. But look what a beautiful background that little bathroom parking lot gave us...gorgeous and look how sweet Miss A looks among the flowers!

This photo makes me laugh. We brought all sorts of fun things for Miss A, but the weather not so much cooperating with our "vision". We had these balloons for her to have in some of her photos. When she saw us take them out of the car...she went nuts!!! Nuts! Even though its not the "perfect" shot...it felt kind of perfect to us!

Sweet Toddlers, a Beautiful Newborn and a Family

We spent a wonderful Sunday morning with this family. They were celebrating the birth of a new family member and little Miss S was celebrating a birthday! They were in full on celebration mode. Mr. A is the youngest client that Kiddiewhampus has worked with. He, just like the rest of the babies we have had the opportunity to photograph, didn't want much to do with our props, but was more than happy to snuggle into his mommy!

Love this picture, so snuggly and curled up - that newborn look.

He was such a sweet pea and barely made much of a peep while we were there...but he did manage to eat twice.

Below is one of our favorite pictures of the session...love how Mom and Dad's hands surround him. This picture is love at its finest.

Of course every post must have feet...why not newborn feet! Love those little toes.

Now I love my little bear hat and all our babies get a chance to wear it. Mr. A, well he loved it too...can't you tell {snore}. He knows fashion when he sees it.

Meet Miss S (Mr. A's big sister). She was just the sweetest and oh so busy and talkative. She would give lots of hugs (especially to Bonnie). She was just cute as can be in her cute little Spring dress.

Sometimes we have to use a little bit of bribery to get the job done. This toy...usually does the trick...its bright, its colorful and busy toddlers stop in their track for it. I love the look on her face - like she is looking into a crystal ball.

Since the family was in full celebration mode they had visitors. So meet Miss Z. She was there for the celebration and it was a perfect time for a "cousin shot".

Miss S had only been a big sister for about a week when this photo was taken....but I think she is going to be a great big sister. Lots of love to be shared!

There is nothing sweeter than mommies and new babies. That look that is both tired and pure happiness that overcome new moms (you know the one). These moments are gone so fast, I love it when we get to capture them for our clients.

Miss S wanted some pictures with Mom and Dad. So cute! Big squishy hugs!

This is the third time that Kiddiewhampus has had the pleasure of spending a morning with this family and the Twins well they are Kiddiewhampus "superstars" so to speak. Every time they are featured we get lots and lots of comments on how beautiful they are. Well, Mr. C and Ms. O will not disappoint you! Every photo from this session turned out wonderful it was really hard to pick which to show you all....so we got a little carried away.

This photo blew me away. You will notice from my past post of our sessions that I love angles and this one was awesome...check out his lashes...I mean seriously...I know women who would die for them! This time I got a little "arty" with this proof by adding a texture.

Oh my goodness, how cute is this kiddo!

Mr. C was so patient and waited his turn during this session. It was a cool early spring day and he sat in his stroller, nice and cozy until it was his turn.

Here they are...the Twins in our little Kiddiewhampus red wagon. The back story behind this pictures was that the kids were getting a little tired of Kiddiewhampus, we had tried all our usual tricks. So Dad went into the house and came out with large Kai-lan stuffed toy...and the kids went bananas! They laughed, smiled and giggled. It was almost too hard to take pictures because Bonnie and I were giggling so much along with the kids....could it have been Daddy who was jumping up and down saying "ni hao, ni hao" behind us! {seriously it was funny}

I say this often, but I just love Mommies and Sons. Is it because I have two sons? Not sure, but there is something special between Moms and their boys. Look at this beautiful picture of Mr. C and his Mommy...so beautiful and sweet!

We have been trying out some fun "artsy" stuff. This is called a "polaroid transfer" effect. Kinda fun.

Another fun "artsty" effect - the effect is called "sunshine" and added a cute frame. Mr. C and Ms. O we were so, so happy to see you again and have SO enjoyed watching you grow up. We can't wait to see you again!!! Next time I bet we have a hard time keeping you two still!

Two Toddlers and a Little Baby

Last Sunday we spent a wonderful morning meeting these very active, very sweet kiddos and their great parents. Here are a few sneek peaks. More to come later !

This little guy wins the award from the youngest Kiddiewhampus client. He was very small and very hungry throughout most of our session. Look at his sweet little face!

He was so tiny that our diaper cover was really big on him. He was pretty comfy here and snoozing away.

Ahhh...Spring is here early and Kiddiewhampus was just itching to get outside. So excited for all the gorgeous colors and what better way to kick off our "season" than with these gorgeous twins who we just absolutely adore.

This is our third time photographing these sweet peas and we just love this family (check out the first time we met). One thing we could not WAIT to see, was how much they had grown since we last saw them and if its possible, I am pretty sure that they got cuter.

We are so excited to share these images with all of you. This little girl, totally melted our hearts. She was unbelievably cute. She had so much to say and totally blew us away with her vocabulary for such a little peanut. She was a VERY busy toddler and seemed to really like getting her picture taken and interacting with us, but didn't stay still for too long!

This little girl had the most gorgeous, huge brown eyes and they were so expressive. I love this image because it completely showcases those eyes!

Cute little storyboard!

This is maybe one of my all-time favorite Kiddiewhampus photos. How completely sweet is this picture. I knew when I took the picture that it was sweet but when I pulled it up on the computer it literally took my breath away!

There was an old piano in the house and Miss A seemed to be losing interest in us, when Daddy suggested that she play us a song. She of course was totally into it and gave us a little recital! :)

Here is a fun storyboard with some black and white images from our session. This is Miss A's little easter dress!

So, all girls need a phone. Mom brought her cell phone to see if that might coax Miss A to sit for us a little longer...and she puts it right up to her ear and starting talking to "daddy"....Classic! Love it!

This is so fun. Dad brought up a special wooden horse during our session. Miss A jumped right on and started to play. The horse seemed to be antique and we started asking a few questions. It turns out that this horse is one that belonged to his grandparents and he used to ride on it as a child. How fun!! Now we have this beautiful image of his daughter riding the same horse. We love nostalgia and history and now we get to be part of it! Wouldn't it be cool if Mom could find a picture of Dad on the same horse and put them together in a frame. Love it!

What a little sweet pea. I just love this contemplative image!

and...it wouldn't be a Kiddiewhampus final post without some feet! We were told that Miss A was not really a "girly, girl" but that she did love shoes! What? Well then she is in with me!!! She was so proud of her new shoes, it was completely adorable!

We had such a fun time meeting Miss A and her mom and Dad and was just absolutely adore her images. We cannot wait to see her again!

Here are some more of our session with sweet little Mr. O. We just adored this little guy with his huge brown eyes. We spent a sunny, cool morning with him and his mom and dad and this little guy made us pull out all the stops...jumping, singing, clapping, toys...nothing was going to make this little guy smile. Every so often we would prompt a little one out of him and we were excited to find that we captured a giggle or two...but this little guy was one tough Kiddiewhampus cookie! But smile or no smile...this little guy is simply adorable!

And...here we are some cute little toes! It wouldn't be a final post at Kiddiewhampus without some cute little baby toes!

This series was so much fun and this little guy just had that timeless look that was perfect for this idea that was floating around in our heads. Dad even supplied a favorite tie.

This little boy had some seriously long and lush eyelashes. Gorgeous!

Here he is....probably staring at me doing some funny thing trying to make him smile...or maybe he was looking at Daddy who was working just as hard!

HERE IT IS...a smile...look how gorgeous...it was worth it!

Love the awesome green polo shirt and jeans...looks like a sweet little man!

We brought this fun firetruck with us and had it hidden for most of the session...but guess who spotted it on our way out. As I was packing up, he was checking it out and he LOVED that firetruck. He was totally focused on the little bell and pulling the string.

We always say that the last shots of the day are almost always our best. This was one of our last shots and we think it is just beautiful! I love how his little feet don't quite touch the ground yet.

Could this be a little giggle buddy? He loved our little blocks that we brought with us for him to play with.

We had so much fun with you Mr. O and we can't wait to see you again. We are going to refine our techniques because next time....we will get that wonderful smile out of you!

Baby makes Three

Its so cool when Kiddiewhampus gets to spend precious moments with our clients and what is more precious than meeting their newest members. We knew this little guy was coming and waited very patiently for the call that he had arrived. We were very excited to meet him and even bought him a new hat in special anticipation.

We were priviledged enough to photograph this family in the late Fall. You may remember Mom and her cute little baby belly. Well look what was hiding in there. Mr. B!

Big Brother J and Big Sister J were SO excited about their new little brother and we were so impressed how Mr. B was so alert, calm and so relaxed.

Here he is, wide awake with eyes sparkling. He was very curious about our flash!

Just gould not resist some scrapbooking!

It definately would not be a Kiddiewhampus posting without some sweet little baby feet. Mr. B was so still and calm...perfect feet shots!

Now, I told you that were more than ready for this little man and we had a couple props that we had collected in anticipation of his arrival, knowing that we would have a tiny, tiny one to play with. We found this adorable baby scale and knew immediately that it was perfect for Mr. B. and he was so sweet to oblige us by actually laying on it and falling asleep. Don't tell anyone Mr. B...but just for that...you might be our favorite! :)

Now, since he was so good with the scale we figured...try this basket...well a totally different story unfolded. Mr. B was more than not into this little set up. I kept saying to him "if you would relax this is the cutest shot ever..." but apparently cute was not what he was going for. But we did get one or two!

Here is the special little bear hat that I was more than excited to try out on Mr. B. Isn't he the sweetest little thing! Reminds me of that old quote from the Winnie the Pooh series: "Sometimes the smallish things take up the most room in our hearts!"

Probably my most favorite image from this session.

Mom really wanted a baby parts study. Who could blame her...sweet little hands, ears, lips and toes. They grow so fast its unbelievable. Here is a collage that I did of all or Mr. B's new little parts!

Who are these two?! Probably two of the most photogenic siblings! They are so sweet together.

We would love to introduce you to this little sweetheart. She was so precious, warm and oh so beautiful! We spent a sunny Saturday morning with her and her mom and dad and we fell in love with her huge amazing brown eyes and beautiful little brown curls. Even the pictures where she isn't smiling, her eyes...they were smiling.

Oh my goodness are we excited for you to meet Mr. O! He was so totally adorable, the kind of adorable baby you just wanted to pinch his little cheeks (kinda like Grandma's do!).

We spent last Saturday with this little guy and BOY did he make us work hard. When he was in Mom and Dad's arms...happy and flirting, but when we got our cameras out....ahhh not so much....he turned into one serious little dude.

Even without a lot of smiles, he was a gorgeous baby...and he will definately charm you like he did us!

Little Mr. E

We spent a very wet and rainy morning with this little sweetheart. He was only a few weeks old when we met and he was WIDE awake through most of our session. He wasn't really sure if he was loving his little photo session, and Kiddiewhampus and Mom and Dad worked really hard to get him to take a snooze and relax...eventually he was comfortable enough to take a few quick snoozes.

Well, it wouldn't be a Kiddiewhampus session without a monogram...

This is so sweet.

I love baby feet...I tell clients that all the time. Every session a foot shot is a must do. Mr. E has the sweetest little perfect feet. Very excited to get this beautiful shot.

Just before this shot was taken, Mr. E was screaming, not too comfortable being 1/2 naked. I swaddled him tight and *poof* he was happy!

Mr. E was one of the first babies that didn't mind our little furry white rug. Maybe its because he has 4 cat friends and he is used to being around soft, fluffy fur. He snuggled right in. Love his little hand in his mouth.

Mom and Dad were very excited to bring out their Ohio State gear to take some pictures. Here is a shot of his cute little socks (another foot picture...love it!)

I haven't even had a chance to post this little Valentine session but sent one in from that session that was particularily fun...and those of you that have had sessions with Kiddiewhampus know of my obsession with feet.
